The Role:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to provide essential accounting services under the guidance of senior finance staff. The role involves supporting monthly and annual financial processes, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with reporting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly and year-end reporting, including the preparation and posting of journals.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for general ledger items.
• Assist in the preparation of BAS, FBT, superannuation, work cover, and payroll tax returns.
• Support the production of monthly management reports.
• Contribute to taxation, compliance, and audit activities across assigned business entities.
• Conduct financial analysis for assigned projects or entities.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with financial compliance related to GST, FBT, and PAYG.
• Experience with finance systems like SAP, Oracle, CHEOPS, or Finance One.
