Our client is a leading luxury hotel management group seeking a Chief Engineer for a leading hotel in Sydney's CBD. This hands-on role will suit an individual with a trade background and with experience as a Hotel Chief Engineer or a similar 24/7 environment.

The Role:

• Lead & guide the maintenance team including Shift Managers
• Oversee Rooms Inspections Program
• Initiate and manage CAPEX works
• Liaise with hotel management
• Manage external contractors & service agreements
• Ensure Engineering compliance including Fire safety
• Assist with department budgets and reporting
• Manage team scheduling and rostering

Skills and Experience:

• Open to hotel and other 24/7 environments
• Proven experience leading a team
• Trade background preferred - electrical/plumbing/HVAC
• Ability to think strategically whilst maintaining a hands-on approach
• Influencing and communication skills
