General Manager (Sales) - Capital Equipment

With a strong national footprint, this business is a leading supplier of equipment and machinery to the construction and civil industries.
An opportunity exists to take a lead role and further grow this already successful Sydney based business and to drive national expansion plans through sales growth, profit maximisation, improved operational efficiency, and effective management of after sales service and support.
This highly visible and pivotal role will be key to developing the existing team to solidify already well-established strong customer and supplier relationships, together with fostering and developing new opportunities through sound leadership and support.
The key objectives include promoting the business, working with BDM's in bringing in new business, interacting with key customers, developing new products and strategies to service the market, managing key brand/supplier relationship and leveraging the existing branch (Group) network to grow the business nationally.
The GM must develop the culture of the Division, guide the recruitment of employees, build an effective team nationally and develop employees’ talents to best serve the business and its clientele.
Skills & Experience
In addition to relevant tertiary qualifications (ideally combined in construction, civil engineering and business), your background will include significant general management where you can demonstrate sales growth, sector expansion and leadership skills within the capital equipment supply environment.
In addition to your high level communication and negotiation skills combined with expert-level background and knowledge in capital equipment, you will demonstrate where you have delivered growth and profitable outcomes across verticals.
