About the Company Our client is a well-established, medium-sized FMCG wholesale and distribution business with a strong market presence. The leadership team is committed to innovation and proactive growth strategies to expand market share and enhance performance across all divisions.
A key driver of their success is the implementation of best practices in financial operations, reporting, budget and strategic financial analysis.
The Role This is a hands-on, senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the finance function and managing a team of 12. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in driving financial efficiency, strategic decision-making, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities - Financial and management reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Profitability analysis
- Supplier negotiations and selection
- Financial institution and banking relationship management
- Payroll, BAS, GST, FBT, and ATO liaison
- Overseeing cash management, accounts payable, billing, and receivables
- Provide guidance in financial matters as these relate to supply chain, optimising inventory, navigating fluctuating costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations
About You - Proven experience in a senior finance role within the FMCG Distribution industry (8+ years PQE)
- CA/CPA qualification
- Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory accounting requirements
- Ability to advise senior management on business trends and financial strategies
- Experience in improving reporting systems and finance operations
- Understanding of employee awards and enterprise bargaining agreements (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
