A dynamic Australian company specialising in distribution into the packaging, and related industrial industries is seeking an experienced National Manager to lead its Packaging Sales division across Australia. The RoleReporting to the directors, in this role, you will drive the division’s sales and business development efforts through delivering best-practice guidance and operational leadership over team performance.
You will be responsible for setting and executing sales strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering a high-performance culture within an established and successful team of sales professionals.
Responsibilities - Manage and develop a National Team of 12, experienced BDM/sales, staff, to exceed performance targets.
- Develop and execute strategic sales and business growth plans.
- Manage key national accounts and build executive-level customer relationships.
- Drive growth across packaging, packaging machinery and specialty packaging solutions.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify new markets, products and commercial opportunities.
- Oversee division marketing initiatives in partnership with the Marketing and Product Managers.
The Person - You will likely bring 10+ years in a similar leadership role, with some of that time in a high volume products based industry.
- Strong networking skills and expertise being able to demonstrate B2B customer origination, growth and retention.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and a proactive approach to technology.
- Willingness to travel interstate and internationally.
