A Southern Sydney-based builder is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a portfolio of high-end residential builds and renovations valued between $1m and $5m.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a carefully selected pipeline of architecturally designed renovations and bespoke new homes across Sydney. The business is known for delivering considered, high-quality projects with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, client experience and long-term relationships.

The role would suit someone with strong technical construction knowledge, a trade background and the ability to manage scope, design and constructability matters before they become problems. You will be a commercially minded individual who can take ownership of live projects.

The Projects

• Portfolio of 5–10 live projects at any one time
• End-to-end involvement from pre-construction through to completion
• High-end residential renovations and custom new builds valued from $1m–$8m
• Architecturally designed homes with discerning private clients

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects across programme, budget, quality and delivery
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and consultants throughout delivery
• Review drawings, scopes and documentation to identify risks early
• Monitor project costs, variations and overall commercial performance
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, engineers and councils
• Drive construction programmes and ensure milestones are achieved

About You

• Trade-qualified with strong technical construction capability
• Proven experience delivering residential renovations and custom homes
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodology and detail
• Commercially astute with solid contract and financial management skills
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and trades
• Previous experience running your own building business will be highly regarded
• Familiarity with Sydney residential construction and council processes advantageous
