Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. You will have a strong background across varied infrastructure engineering environments, and are well-versed in various contemporary products, cloud environments, and virtualisation technologies, as outlined below.
You will work collaboratively in the building, supporting, and maintaining of our server, network, storage, backup, and cloud infrastructure across client environments.
Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring system availability, reliability, security, scale and optimal performance.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will assist in designing and implementing new infrastructure solutions and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
Key Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology-focussed Infrastructure Design/Engineering/Project/Support environments.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of new infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with some or all of the following;
- VMware / Hyper-V
- Windows Server Administration GPO/AD
- Azure / M365
- Migrations/Deployments
- SAN/Zoning/Brocade/ Cisco MDS
- Storage- Hitachi/Netapp/HPE
- Backups Veeam/Cohesity/Commvault
- Networking / Meraki / Fortinet / Palto Alto
- SQL Server Administration
- Cisco UCS
- Citrix Metaframe
- Ability to respond to tenders and write reports effectively.
- Build, support, maintain, and enhance server, network, storage, backup, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and user instructions effectively.
- Experience managing cloud environments, preferably within Azure.
